Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Comes to Rwanda: Sparking Imagination and Inspiring Young Dreamers
2024, November 18

Since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has inspired millions of young minds worldwide to envision the future of mobility through their dream cars. This global competition, one of the largest art contests for children, has connected over 6.7 million children from 100 countries, inviting them to imagine, create, and dream. Now, for the first time, Toyota is bringing this iconic contest to Rwanda, partnering with select local schools to encourage Rwandan students to explore their creativity and dream big.

What’s Your Dream Car?

If the future belongs to those who dream, then the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest offers young people an exciting way to plant seeds for the cars of tomorrow. It’s an opportunity for children to experience the joy of dreaming and creating, with no limits to their imagination. From sustainable solutions to diverse designs, children’s dreams bring fresh perspectives to the world of mobility, envisioning a future where innovation and inclusivity drive change.

Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Launches in Rwanda

This year, Toyota Rwanda is launching the Dream Car Art Contest in collaboration with local schools, including Groupe Scolaire Rubingo, to reach out to young Rwandan artists. Through this partnership, we hope to nurture students’ creativity and give them a platform to share their vision of future cars. To support this effort, Toyota Rwanda has provided art materials to participating schools and organized a drawing session where 81 students sketched their dream cars, with even more drawings expected from these young artists.

A Gateway to Global Recognition

The most outstanding submissions from Rwanda will be sent to Toyota’s headquarters in Japan to compete on the international stage. To further encourage these young artists, Toyota Rwanda will also recognize some local talents with awards to support their continued artistic pursuits and foster the growth of Rwanda’s education system.
